Summer is coming fast and I thought it was time to share this reminder. I know people think they are doing the right thing in covering baby with a wrap etc over their pram, and yes while it can protect from the suns rays, it also increases the temperature in that pram.
You can purchase shade covers that provide ventilation for a lot of prams now. Please think twice before putting that wrap over your pram.

There are a number of issues with pram covering. Babies need to be checked on regularly. If they are covered then this creates a barrier to visibility.

All mothers have a right to birth where they choose, and midwives to support them whilst they are birthing.
Sadly the lovely midwife that supported this beautiful surprise twin birth has since been suspended (it is illegal in Aust to support multiples births at home - apparently it doesn’t matter that there was a surprise extra baby!)
